What the Client Wanted


Chelsea Building Group came to us with a real design puzzle: modern, single-family production homes that could carry solar arrays without looking like an afterthought, while still giving buyers real customization, not five identical houses in a row.


They'd seen our production and custom work elsewhere in Charlotte and wanted a partner who could hold both sides of that equation. Efficient enough to build at scale. Distinctive enough that no two homes on the street felt the same.


Our Solution

Our designs fused aesthetics with functionality, varying the front door and exterior materials from house to house. That gave real visual range across the development while keeping the base plans and construction process repeatable, which is where the cost-effectiveness actually comes from.


Simplicity was the key to the solar integration too. By keeping roof geometry consistent across variations, we could design in low-profile panels from the start rather than retrofit them later, cutting homeowners' energy bills without cutting corners on how the house looks.
